Hollywood has officially run out of ideas. What other possible excuse could there be for Sony’s decision to remake “Starship Troopers.” The bug-filled B movie directed by Paul Verhoeven back in 1997 featured a future where soldiers are sent off to do battle against an alien species called “The Bugs.” The story, based on a 1959 novel with overtly social and political themes, was controversial at the time.
