Orion Meteor Shower in October
The ‘Orionids‘, the meteor shower on October 21. 2007 will provide some good hours to watch.
It is expected that the Orionids could be seen better than normally this year, with possibly a score of meteors per hour visible at the peak looking east.
The waxing gibbous Moon sets by 0:30am - 2:30am, leaving a darker sky for the radiant’s best-visible time.
What is a meteor shower?
If at a particular time of year the number of meteors increases it is called a meteor shower.
The Orionids and the Aquarids, a southern hemisphere meteor shower in May, spring from Halley’s Comet.

Waiting on a friend to go get Chinese. Actually, I wasn't even getting Chinese, he was, I was just going along for the ride. There was supposed to be a meteor shower watching tonight and someone at school had planned for a bunch of people to watch and make smores...I went up there (mostly for the smores) but there were none.
