Netanyahu, main rival Gantz, claim victory in Israeli election

Exit polls on two of Israel’s three main TV channels showed Gantz’s centrist Blue and White Party won slightly more seats than Likud in the 120-member parliament, while a third survey forecast a tie. If he wins, Netanyahu, 69, will be on track to be the longest-serving prime minister in Israel’s 71-year history. Gantz, 59, a former military chief, is a political novice.
