Kellie Pickler presents on the AMA Awards

Watch for Kellie Pickler as she presents one of the awards for the evening of November 18.

The 35th annual American Music Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A on Sunday at 8pm ET/PT and broadcast live on ABC.

Kellie Pickler is a native of Albemarle, N.C. She competed on American Idol in 2006 and was suddenly nationally known as the blonde roller-skating waitress from the local Sonic. Although she did not win, Pickler did sign a major label record deal with BNA Records.

In September 2007, Kellie released a version of the christmas song “Santa Baby” for a Christmas country compilation. It reached No.6 on iTunes Holiday Songs.

On October 15, at the ASCAP Awards in Nashville, Kellie received a songwriter award for “Red High Heels”.

At the CMA Awards on November 7, 2007, while Kelly performed her second single I Wonder, she broke down and started crying, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. The applause lasted for one minute and many believed it to have been the best performance of the night.
