CES 2008 news

Bill Gates, Microsoft chairman, officially started the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show.

In his keynote he focused on mobile and home entertainment products which make use of online applications.

The Microsoft Silverlight web-app development system will be deployed by NBC to provide online video coverage of the Olympics in Beijing.

The Zune portable media player will also play a prominent role in the company’s web services plans.
