Popfly is fun

The Public Beta of Microsoft’s Popfly is online and ready to sign in.

popfly.com writes:

Popfly is the fun, easy way to build and share mashups, gadgets, Web pages, and applications. Popfly consists of a set of online visual tools for building Web pages and mashups, and a social network of creators where you can host, share, rate, comment and even remix creations from other Popfly users.

With a popfly account and the required Silverlight plugin (a cross-browser, cross-platform plugin for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web. source:Microsoft) you can:

  • customize and share media like pictures, podcasts, music, and video, build beautiful slideshows using pictures from Flickr, Windows Live Spaces, Facebook, or embed a Podcast or video player or any Web page.
  • describe your online persona.
  • add some fun to your Web site by adding customized games or create custom quizzes or polls to easily embed on your Web site.
  • put it all together on a custom home page, add photos, a RSS feed, videos and more, all without knowing something about code.
  • advanced users can use custom HTML, JavaScript and Silverlight applications.

Try it and enjoy!
